Tuesday 3rd week (8 May) sees us meeting once again in St Peter’s College, from 6 to approximately 7.30pm. All are welcome and it’d be great to see some new faces! Welcome back, one and all. I hope that you’ve all managed to survive the stresses of the vac (and any revision) more or less in tact. Did being at home make eating easier? Was it a complete nightmare? Come along to the first meeting of Trinity Term and get it all off your chest! We are, as ever, meeting on Tuesdays of odd weeks at 6pm, in the Dorfmann Centre at St Peter’s. Whether you’ve been before or not, and whether you’re a current ED sufferer, have suffered in the past, or simply know someone with disordered eating, we’d love to see you. Last term’s meetings were fantastically supportive and I’m so grateful to everyone who attended for their honesty and bravery! P.S. Enough is open to anyone with eating issues, whether or not you fit into a classic ‘ED’ category, so don”t feel put off if you haven’t been clinically diagnosed. Building on last week’s success and record attendance(!) we will be holding the last meeting before Easter on Tuesday of 9th week (that is the 13th March), as ever in the Dorfmann Centre at St Peter’s. If you are hanging around for fun revision, or if you’re a graduate and don’t actually get sickeningly long vacations, come and join us! I can’t stress enough how wonderfully open and supportive everyone who has already attended has been - and we always welcome new faces. Come, chat, moan, laugh and get it out in the open - it’s good for the soul. From 6pm until we’re finished (around 7.30). Tuesday of 7th week (27th Feb) will see the third meeting of Enough! taking place at St Peter’s College. We start at 6pm in the Dorfmann centre and finish around 7.30. After the success of the first two meetings, we’re hoping to continue the frank and open discussion with new and old(!) faces …. Come, chat, and get things off your chest in a friendly and supportive atmosphere - all are welcome! PS - this week we will start by looking at the treatment of EDs in literature, so if you’ve got a favourite poem, article or extract from a book, feel free to bring it along. Tuesday of 5th week: The second meeting of Enough! will be held at 6pm this Tuesday (13 February) in the Dorfmann Centre at St Peter’s College. All Oxford students are welcome, whether you’re a sufferer, a survivor, or a supporter of someone with disordered eating - come along and support each other in a relaxed and confidential arena. Help us advertise! It’s really important that we get the message out to everyone who could benefit from Enough! meetings - please ask your Welfare Officers to send out a reminder to your JCR or MCR. A big thank you to those of you who turned up to the first meeting last night and shared what was on your minds - it was great to see you! Hopefully the group will continue to grow over the next few weeks, and your suggestions for publicising the group/organising the sessions will definitely be incorporated. Take care til next time! The first meeting of Enough! will take place at 6pm on Tuesday of 3rd week in the Dorfmann Centre, St Peter’s College. We welcome all students with experience of eating distress - whether mild or severe - to come along and share their feelings and opinions in a safe and supportive atmosphere. Welfare reps and those supporting friends with eating distress are also very welcome! Unsure how to find us? Click here to see how to get to St Peter’s and the Dorfmann Centre. |
